Bicep has been building to this EP and it does not disappoint; all of the tracks occupy a special place on the release, "Keep Keep" holds all that is good and funky about house while the title track "Vision Of Love" redefines the meaning of deep house and "Getcha' Boi" just rolls into a vocal banger. Be warned, once you hit play you will not remain seated for long.

The freshly named Route 94 has released a couple of tracks of pure house gold but the main question travelling around the scene is who is the face behind the new alias. Whoever it turns out to be, these beats are undeniably catchy so here is the rip from Skream and Benga's radio 1 show.

George FitzGerald has ventured into new and exciting territory with his EP, Shackled. My favourite of the release is the title track due to its unmistakable groove and atypical progression; layered pads and percussion build to create the atmosphere of a powerful, vocal deep house tune but all preconceptions are shattered with the minimal, dancefloor-invigorating drop.

Another gritty and powerful release from Break sees him collaborating with Mikal to produce grunting reeses overlaying pulsating and dance-invoking basslines; drum & bass seems to be returning to its grimey and dark roots and I am enjoying the ride.

Every time this drops I am transported to the dark recesses of an underground club; it seems to encapsulate the feeling of being sweaty deep underground, lasers and smoke blending all the surroundings into a blur of pure auditory glory. Jacques Greene has been releasing some real gems recently and so far the preview of "Prism" is no exception, another favourite of mine is "Arrow" which gives off a syncopated techno/bass vibe.

Minimal vocal sampling and a catchy, deep bass pluck melody is at the centre of every deep house release and this track is no exception. While it delivers the goods we expect, it does not overplay their importance in building its atmosphere, resulting in this rolling yet calm tune.

Rusko - Whistle Crew

Rusko's newest album, "Songs", is here and with it brings the newest dancefloor action. I find that it is pleasantly reminiscent of his previous full studio LP with some more reserved "easy listening" than one would expect from the dub monster. Despite the merit of the whole release though, one song rises high above the others with its 2-Step rhythm underpinning a ravers anthem married with a sublimely subtle but catchy bass; this tune is gold.

Tiger & Woods - Gin Nation

Deep house has been steadily feeling more funky recently and this tune may be the apex of this movement. One of the tightest disco tracks for a long while, it builds its simplistic and natural rhythm into a rolling groove machine; pure imagination.

2-Step influenced, heavy hitting dubstep from Dark Sky's newest EP, Black Rainbows, ranges from the melodic, synth filled journey that is "Totem" to the powerful floor-smasher "Zoom"; this release is pure and dark dub at its best.

Usher feat. Joe Budden - Climax

Diplo is a wanted man, producing countless top flight radio tracks but while this usually is the calling card of a sell out rapidly decreasing in quality, Diplo has instead managed to bring a new heavily EDM influenced sound to mainstream music. Two of his most recent tunes have been stuck on repeat thanks to his subtle rhythm and unique syncopated dubstep-esque undertones.

This track has a unique and otherworldly flow that just kills me every time. I don't think I have played a set in the last few months without this powerful tune finding its way into the climax of the night; Miguel Campbell struck deep house gold with arguably one of the best tracks of 2011.

After seeing these two in action a couple of weeks ago, none of the big drops of the night have left my head. This track particularly embodies a simple but deep and effective approach; prepare for the dancefloor to explode when this is spun.

Danny Daze - Your Everything

An older track sure, in fact its just shy of a year today that this scorcher was released onto dancefloors worldwide, but I just had to share it as this is pure deep house gold. The pluck bassline drop is so well known, overused and in many ways expected but this tune's trumps any preconceptions one may have had and leaves nothing but foot tapping and head bobbing groove.
