Finally here as of Monday and what a worthwhile wait. It has taken me a while to feature this because my days since the 24th have been comprised only of listening to Justice's masterpiece on repeat. While the previews allowed us to loosely grasp the concept of this release being very different to their primary work, nothing could have prepared me for the raw originality and verve that this album is filled with. Half of the LP sounds like it is an 70s self-righteous prog rock concept album; but when "Ohio" breaks down into a no-holds barred electro groove, you're not sure what to classify it as. All you know is that this album is amazing and, while not as much of a dance record as many expected, will keep everyone's attention for the time to come.

Figure - Mr. Hyde

Another dose of absolute, absurd filth comes our way from Figure. Remaining true to his distinctive style, this release brings even more film samples and dark, figures of horror into the dubstep arena. "Mr. Hyde" is the gem of this release; the second drop of the full version is so unexpected and heavy with its counter-intuitive rhythmic style. Also, though not quite as original and inspired, another release sees a free remix of one of my favourite Halloween inspired songs, "This is Halloween".

Justice - Newlands

So close now to the monumental release of Audio, Video, Disco and two more singles have been exposed. The first, "Canon" is following the same vein of thought as much of the album so far, with the lighter but rocky dance tune vibe; it reminds me very much of the rhythm of the Gorillaz' "Stylo". However, while bringing another layer of sound to the album, it does not do too much to stand out and impress. In contrast, the song hailed as a homage to 80's glam rock, basks in its own perfection and guts to do something different; "Newlands" is the new sound of bedrooms and clubs around the world, I just cannot get enough of its uplifting drive.

DJ Choppa Dunks & DJ Swave - V.I.P

The new EP is dropping from DJ Choppa Dunks; big sounds to be expected as the Bermudian house producer lays down fresh beats, reminiscent of Avicii at times, with a big-room and dutch house vibe all mixed into one. This will definitely get the club pumping.

Mosca - Bax

Stellar release from the new man in UK Garage; hailing from London, Mosca has brought some seriously old school beats with his fresh EP. The first track of the release, "Done Me Wrong" brings a vocal samlping, atmospheric classic but, for me, the show is stolen by "Bax". This tune is nothing but class, reminiscent of the early noughties, the bass is so subtly layered under the tight, clean beat; it makes me want to start a UKG mixset every time I hear it.

Lights (Shook Remix)

Another bite of Nu-disco today with two delicious tunes; Shook takes on the task of remixing the revered and often sampled Ellie Goulding and Jean Tonique releases a groovy gem. Both are filled with 80s character to the core with Shook's track seeming so light and airy while retaining a solid beat and rhythm and "My Baby" pulling out the outrageously funky disco synths.

Outstanding rework of LMFAO's club tune; the drop is so minimal with such fat synth plucks that no one could withstand hearing this without busting a move.

Recently released on a podcast mix are a myriad of fresh tracks from none other than Zeds Dead; just when I thought that they had settled into a disctintive style, they have shaken up the confines of their productions once more.
