There have been some outstanding liquid drum and bass releases so far this year from many of the top producers and they have been slowly imprinting more and more on my mind. Break has released his new chill tune, "They're Wrong" that boasts a powerful syncopated beat and an instrumental underplayed flow. Several others from the like of Cyantific, Wilkinson, little known Blue Motion & Grimm and even legends High Contrast (previewed from their upcoming studio album) have also released stellar tracks. It looks like this year will be a big one in the world of dnb; let the beat roll.

Moguai - Mpire

Electro-house is fusing more and more styles into its already highly intricate arsenal and the results are astonishing. Moguai has more than demonstrated this in his new track from his new album of the same name, "Mpire"; the powerful chords of the drop are nothing but club filler material and 3:15 is probably the most insane and anticipation building breakdown I have heard.

Boddika & Joy Orbison - Froth

Techy-Future Garage sounds from the subtle producing duo Boddika and Joy Orbison to be released alongside "Mercy" on 12". The atmospheric build up and rhythmic techno-esque component deeply bores into ones aural receptors and doesnt let go. Recently, a fair bit of garage has been being talked about throughout the blogosphere as some truly remarkable producers are emerging with musical gems. One to look out for is Ghostek; I have posted some of my favourites of his below along with the main feature.

Another great recent release is the garage-dubstep fusion from Dub Phizix and Skeptical that provides some of the deepest and most atmospheric wobbles I have heard in a long time. Also, one of Ruckspin and J Sparrows first collabs, "Blessings", is featured because it is just pure tune.

Break'n A Sweat (Zedd Remix)

New electro banger from Zedd sees an upfront bass drop rework of Skrillex's original filth monster. A tight flow reminiscent of the sort of rolling synths artists such as David Tort are famous for melds with Zedd's melodically prominent style to amazing effect. This has already reached its targeted mainstream audience and will continue to make waves for weeks to come.

Sato - Clap Ya Hands

From the double A side on Symmetry Recordings comes Sato's new drum and bass roller. With its atmospheric flow and classic vocal sampling, this track is reminiscent of the breaks of the early noughties; its drop smoothly brings the tune to its powerful and underplayed apex. Check out Break's track which also provides a little bit of dnb nostalgia but with a noticeably harsher tone.
