The Monkey's Are Coming (Bar 9 Remix)

Does It Offend You, Yeah?'s track receives a real makeover from the veteran dubhead. An epic build up leading to a classic Bar 9 melody intertwined bass explosion makes this a stellar release.

Justice - Civilization

The massive hype is finally silenced for four minutes as everyone dares to take in the new sounds of Justice. The first preview of their new album shows us a taster of the musical voyage we shall be taken upon this year. And as a tribute to how excited everyone is, a dubstep/house fusion remix has already been released.

Pow 2011 (Butch Clancy Remix)

Straight up filth with the 2011 remix of Lethal Bizzle's hit Pow. Hard bass undertones and distorted synths; isn't this what it's all about?

Until I Die (Feed Me Remix)

Feed me's most mainstream outing yet with the remix of September's track Until I Die. However, he still retains his harsh twisting synths and creates a massive club tune that we will be hearing spun in the months to come.

Phaeleh - Afterglow

Phaeleh and Soundmouse bring the mood perfectly into balance; sublime and calming yet so powerful. Its not often that a tune of pure bliss also contains a bassline that can shake your floor; this will captivate you to your core.

PropaTingz - Hustler's Concerto

PropaTingz moves his game to glitch dubstep; striking with dark lfo's and full pads he creates a heavy new sound that is just as addicting as it is confusing.

Dilemn - Better Worlds

Dilemn's new studio album moves away from neurofunk to his evolving gritty and flamboyant electro style and does so to great effect. Twisting synths and hard hitting kicks join the fast paced multiple sound sampling electro bonanza. The pace is maintained right to the end; my favourites from the album are featured below.

Bytesize - Platonic

Wonderful build up and epic drop embracing the new pause and start style. The high pitched synth and hard hitting bass undertones remind one of a more experimental Emalkay "When I look At You" style. All in all, classic dubstep with some unique flair makes today's feature.

The full release is finally here and it kicks so much harder than the previews. It is accompanied by a remix by Getter which brings the non-sub bass audible filth.

Afrojack - Doing It Right

Aptly named preview from Afrojack showcasing his new track reminiscent of his classic house tunes; the master of big room blasts a hooking lead synth alongside the massive buildups and drops that we have come to love so dearly.

Tetris (Doctor P Remix)

Doctor P has just spun my most anticipated record so far this year; I am too excited right now. Check the carnage he dropped at HMV institute. Also, epic use of visualisations.

2Drops - Deep Thought

2Drops have really cornered the formula for minimal house with their EP this year. Minimal Nominal already caught my interest with a post about it a couple weeks ago but I overlooked the title track. Even more surreal with a deep resounding bass that carries the sometimes misleadingly rhythmic sound. This Sunday, your brain shall be numbed.

Emalkay - Fabrication

Moving back into top form, Emalkay finally releases his new monster track. As always he provides a haunting intro; with sliding pads and an alluring background serenade, it is so detailed and emotive that one would think it were a movie score. However, right when we least expect he hits another insane bass drop with subtle synths uncharacteristic of dubstep but if heard on a large system might actually cause nerve damage.

Price Tag (Benny Page Remix)

Benny Page has astounded me recently with a plethora of outstanding remixes especially reggae drum and bass. Here, he moves to the region of dance floor and transforms a less than mediocre hook into a downright dirty rinse machine. Prepare yourself for your Friday banger.

Get A Move On (Doorly's Pigeonhole This! Bootleg)

Continuing his series of bootleg remixes under the label Pigeonhole This!, Doorly provides more than we could ever ask for. Garage undertones with his fresh beat and bass kicks that seem like a halfway house between hardcore and dubstep. Vocal sampling alongside Mr. Scruff's jazzy original in the background make for this perfect banger.

Chicago Juke

Purely rhythmic and tribal, this somewhat repetitive but addictive sound from the Chicago underground has taken my interest, not for its melodic merit but simply as it is so energetic and encapsulates the emotions of an emerging scene. Here is my favourite song and a couple videos of associated dance parties. Juke It!

Stanton Warriors - Turn Me Up Some

Been waiting for a least a month on this one and it's release date is now the 4th of April on their new album, The Warriors. Such an intense and unique take on house; so addicting. Here is the radio rip which is still the only version available, but as Zane says, it really is the hottest record out there.

Chris Brown - Look At Me Now

Producing mainstream hip hop with big names as an electronic  DJ is the ultimate admission that you have become a sell-out and will likely never produce a good track again. Perhaps a little harsh but nonetheless in many cases true. However, when Afrojack and Diplo paired with Lil Wayne and Chris Brown, hip hop magic was born. Some of the tightest raps ever heard layered over deep house-esque kicks creates newage radio tune; the dubbed 'hip-house' fusion has finally worked and it's insane.

Sub Focus - Move Higher

Sub Focus' debut self titled album, released a couple years ago, was produced with such diversity and musical genius that it was easy to overlook the merits of the less played songs. This track was one of my favourites but never reached the chart heights it should have. Here is a re-rub by Datadex; pure party tune for your friday.

Chase and Status - Blind Faith

With the multitude of remixes of this track, which has pervaded every club for the last months, I thought it suitable to upload my favourite. This song is truly diverse with implementations involving all forms of music from the grimiest bassline to deep drum and bass bliss. Here is the original crowd pleaser along with two outstanding mixes.

Summer Vibes

Cloudless skies and the balmy March days recently have given me some serious summer withdrawal and the smooth reggae and drum and bass vibe that pervaded through the sunshine was the only remedy. As such I thought I'd share a slice of summer vibrations. First is a reggae tune by Bermudian artist Collie Buddz and following are some recent dub drum and bass remixes by Serial Killaz; Let the sun shine.

KOAN Sound - Max Out

The new preview from KOAN Sound sees their return to funky filth. The brainchild of 'Mafia', 'Jumpsuit Adventures' and many more, creates the familiar lunacy we are accustomed to and once again it rings beautifully resonant. Here is the preview of their new track and one of my older favourites for those who haven't already heard their infamous back catalogue.

WTF is Post-Dubstep

It's time to sit yourself down and prepare for an aural eargasm as I present a truly sublime mix of some of the most chilled out tunes of the newly emerging sub-genre dubbed post-dubstep. Mixed by deletia, this is 40 minutes of your life that you will wish you could re-experience from scratch again and again; ah how I love Sundays.

Noisia - Exodus

Neurofunk encapsulates the rawest elements that contribute to drum and bass and for that reason I am a great fan of it. Recently, though, it has become very homogeneous and despite its high production values and clean sound; it does not seem to carry the same energy as when it first surfaced as a sub-genre. A couple days ago, I was listening to an old DJ Hype mixset and stumbled across one of Noisia's classic tracks that defined the movement for me. This is the fat beast itself. Watch out for the second drop; one of the most shameless exhibits of bass ever seen in a build up.

Felix Cartal - The Riddler

Felix Cartal has raised the bar with these upcoming releases and has created a faultless formula for dance-floor anthems; the double side EP with both slices of electro-house will be released on the 8th. While the title track, the Joker, packs a punch with classic saw wave basslines and four-to-the-floor mayhem, the B-Side is the true masterpiece here. Progressive stabbing synths entrance the listener into a subtle yet non-stop breakdown; the second drop is ridiculous. So impatient for this release, can't even stop raving to the previews.

Consistently soothing and so very serene, liquid funk has spawned another cherub. Utah Jazz exhibit their trademark production techniques while bringing fresh energy to their new track. Retro sampling and a funky flavour make this an essential chill out tune.

Figure - The Werewolf

Eloquence is an over-valued attribute, especially regarding dubstep. Sometimes one needs to be forced to the ground and simply accept their helplessness against a song. Figure's free remix of a powerful film score so perfectly achieves this overwhelming feeling; "It attacks"!

DatsiK

DatsiK is finally back on form with a helping of new tracks newly produced, ready for release later this year. Was only able to find the cuts but nonetheless, wanted to share the filth with you. My favourite is the absolute banger, Bass Face.

Also, I have been having some serious issues with embedded music players so bear with me but hopefully I'll find a solid one soon.
