Police In Helicopter (Serial Killaz Remixes)

Jungle legends Serial Killaz showcase their new release filled to the brim with rolling, stuttering amen breaks and classic reggae tunes mixed perfectly with the appropriately obscene amount of bass. Once you start listening, you'll wish these tracks to never end with seamless transitions through all your favourite roots tunes in unique interpretations; this is jungle 2011.

Zedd - Dovregubben

Zedd's new track is a veritable feast with numerous facets as a remix of the famous classical piece by Grieg, In The Hall Of The Mountain King. With a familiarly erratic drop that features in most electro-house nowadays, this song hits hard and is perfect for a club atmosphere filling the listener with anticipation and leaving them with floods of adrenaline. The minimalist electro house breakdowns heard before the main drop and around 2:31 are out of this world; with expertly arranged bass and plucks, this is my favourite feature of the piece. This track is dancefloor gold and will remain in the EDM charts for while to come.

SebastiAn - Embody

I know I am a little late on this one but I have had friends playing it to me for months and always assumed, due to the quality and style of the track, that it was an old song that I'd just never heard before. When I found it was a recent release, I was psyched that such a catchy and yet unique tune could appear out of nowhere, especially nowadays when everything and everyone seems confined strictly to the genre and sound they are expected to produce. This song will not leave your head for weeks and for good reason, this is dance music at its finest and most talented.

Toot Toot (Zeds Dead Remix)

A new remix comes our way from none other than Zeds Dead and it is delicious. Sporting the saw wave, dark and twisting synths we are accustomed to and harder dubstep plucks surfacing out to terrify the listener, Zeds Dead have come up trumps with this remake of DJ Vadim's and The Electric's original.

Introducing Tokyo Prose

A new liquid producer is on the block and releases the first window into the music that is to come from the New Zealand duo. Focusing on ambience and soft but mesmerising drum loops, Tokyo Prose create some perfect chill out tracks that cause a state between tranquility and excitement. My favourite tunes from the album are featured but the whole thing is a journey into relaxation, the download link for the album is below.

Antiserum & Ill Esha - Zephyr

Laid back and highly melodic, this new track released alongside Purple & Gold is a unique voyage towards a new direction for dubstep. With a beat verging on 2-step at times and a synth lead driven, progressing melody at the centre of it all, this track really speaks of the diversity that the genre now is thanks to its huge expanding popularity.

Feed Me - To The Stars EP

Feed Me has dropped his new EP and it is full of electro beauty of the highest degree. Not only is this release a banger but it also is highly original with a large amount of experimentation and unique elements to all of the tracks. The two tunes that stand out to me are featured below. Strange Behaviour is a medley of eerie and yet sublimely harmonious melodies and vocals married with ear shattering drops, the whole progression of the track is pure production class and its no surprise since it's Spor in the driving seat. The title track is also outstanding with its magnificent melodic breakdown and sliding synths followed by a club worthy drop. All in all this EP is aural gold.

Atmospheric 2-Step from Sorrow's new EP, Broken Moments. Deep, unassuming bass hidden under the chill drum flow completes this imponderous journey into the hidden recesses of the listener's mind.

I Just Came (Rusu & Healey Remix)

Joe Ghost's original has been completely revamped into an electro-house beast with more drops and bass plucks than should be legal. The remix begins with a funky groove leading up to a solid four to the floor house rhythm and then suddenly drops the listener into aural mayhem that unrelentlessly pleases again and again. All of my favourite parts of a 2011 electro-house drop are encapsulated by the entire song; it is an absolute smasher. I have also included the original mix as it was a banging dance-floor outing itself.

Mount Kimbie - Carbonated

Another slice of chill post-dubstep emerges from the underbelly; ethereal while cohesive, this track manages to bring a warmth to its sound reminiscent of overused vinyl with its crackly background. The slow pace and subtle vocal sampling complement the thoughtful sin wave melody resulting in an otherworldly sound throughout this talented and original piece due to be released on the 27th.

Roodmusic - Cool

Massive Electro-House track drops from the label Pink Rabbit which has been enjoying some big success in the EDM charts. Reminiscent of the stripped, raw feel of tunes in the early 2000s, this track will hype you up and drop you to the floor.

Mord Fustang - A New World

I know that I have been discussing Mord a lot recently but that is because he is ridiculously prolific and all his tracks are full of energy and excitement. This new release from him shows us what dubstep sounds like when it is his brainchild and it doesn't disappoint. Still boasting sublime chords and melodies as we are accustomed to at the build up but settling into more wobbly bliss than we've heard before in any of his releases; a indisputable smasher.

Skrillex - Ruffneck (Full Flex)

Skrillex finally brings us his new stomper which seems to have morphed into an entirely different song, in fact the only relation I can see between this and the preview is the vocal sample. However, it's a nice surprise to experience a totally different version on release and it definitely doesn't disappoint with high pitched filth galore.

Crissy Criss - Space Face

From the same man who brought us Kick Snare comes another raw and simple expression of our favourite genre. Stand out wobbles and the full arsenal of wubs and vowel basses join a beautifully constructed build up to form a deep and heavy track that brings us back to dubstep the way it was meant to be heard.

Around (Solomun Vox)

With its smooth but heavy underbelly and beats, Deep House  is home to some of the funkiest dancefloor grooves out there. Solomun is my feature today as he is dominating the genre with his talent for weaving together club anthems and funky tunes perfect for listening to at home. The bass plucks in Solomun's edit of Noir and Haze's Around are mesmerising and the synths are unapologetically dominant. In Love Recycled 1, he focuses on the vocal sampling and creates an eerie yet slick vocal lfo that is truly original. Simply put, Solomun is one of a kind and is paving the way forward for new innovation in dance music.

Blind Cobblers Thumb (Tantrum Desire Remix)

It has been a long while since a dnb tune of this style has been truly memorable but Tantrum Desire's remix of Futurebound's classic has easily solved that. Rolling jump up from the modern master sees highly addictive old style dnb synths in the buildup leading to a party driving drop; this is massive.

Mord Fustang - Finally

Mord Fustang is moving so fast and seems unstoppable at the moment with tracks of pure inspiration flying out of his soundcloud all the time. His latest preview of his remix of the classic tune by CeCe Peniston continues this streak of brilliance. Although it keeps you waiting for the true aural gold, the tune starts strong with a solid electro remix and once it reaches the second and main drop, it kicks off in style. I've also included another of his massive, synth filled beatport hits, Milky Way, for good measure.

London Elektricity - Flesh Music

An absolutely stellar release on London Elektricity's new studio album, Yikes. This tune sees one of my favourite classic breaks married with slow, thoughtful and melodic pads and piano riffs. Such a perfect rhythm and despite its well established formula, it feels so fresh; it's just a shame the rest of the album isn't so inspired.

Skepta - Amnesia

Skeppy seems to be drifting towards a grime and hip hop fusion which so far I'm not a fan of. However, a few of his new tracks have proven to be very big and sport his old, tight lyrical flows. My personal favourite of the tunes on his new album has to be Amnesia as it is a heavy club track but also a source of much amusement thanks to his, probably unintentionally, hilarious lyrics. Another notable tune, Asian Girl, shows his steady movement towards the previously mentioned hybrid genre but in this song, he makes it work.

Borgore releases his new EP packed full of distorted fun. An array of his recent releases and some great new stuff, it is very diverse ranging from his traditional filthy drops to his comical rap and even sections of 8 bit influenced tracks. Here are a couple of my favourites from the previously unheard tunes on the record; I'm sure you will all happily reminisce about an old classic when you hear 'Sex Instructions Dub'.

Lapalux - Time Spike Jamz

I can't quite get my head around the magnificence in production this track is but nonetheless Lapalux has reached another apex of soothing aural confusion. As the opening track to his new EP, he sets out to make it clear to his audience that they should prepare themselves, as this is a mind blowing experience.

Cookie Monsta - Me Want Cookie

Cookie Monsta's new EP promised his usual filthy synths and heavy basslines and the premiere release, Me Want Cookie, more than delivers. No frills are wasted on this dirty beast, from the moment our friend the cookie monster opens his mouth, the aural slaughter begins; raw and brilliant.

Addison Groove - Its Got Me

Chicago Juke has come a long way in the last few months; its primal beats have evolved into complex and deep, resounding rhythms. While the vocal sampling remains true to the aurally enslaving and repetitious nature of the genre, the track is pure originality and will pave the way forward for future releases. This tune has most definitely 'got me'.
