The Prototypes - Breathless

Drum and bass is truly a unique genre that can get the listener completely pumped or chill one out after a big night, but recently it seems to somewhat have been pushed out of the underground limelight due to the continuing success of dubstep. So here's a little reminder of what drum and bass can be; powerful yet sweetly subtle. From the first word, you realise that this track is aimed at empowering the audience and then caving in their chests. A mix up of some drumstep for the intro layered with dominant pads builds up for the Pendulum-esque drop and bassline. Enjoy.
